Hi, thinking of removing vinyl background from back of the tank. I like the look. When I started to remove a small portion there was some glue residue remaining. Was wondering if any of you have gone thru that and was it easy to remove the residue afterwards? I thought it would just peel off with no residue remaining but maybe because it's a 5 year old tank it's there? TIA!

I'd second that be cautious around the edges though.

Acetone will make quick work of that residue.

Best of luck. It will be easy.

thanks everyone. no it won't make it a peninsula but I wanted to try this as I've seen other tanks with clear background and liked the look. Wish I had a peninsula but its a planet 90 aquarium with tideline (ghost) overflow. i know some pipes might show but I'll see i I get some live rock in front of them to hide them a bit.
