Removing mushroom from rock

Hi!

I recieved some mushroom corals and the Rock they came in on is not my style to say the least and is covered in algea. I'd like to remove them to my own rock but can't pry the foot loose. What can I do? I need to get them in the tank pretty quickly after I dip.
