I have a pompom crab I need to catch out of my 36g to move into a different tank. Has anyone had to catch one out of a dt before? There’s not much coral so I figured if I find it sitting on one of the top rocks I can pull the whole rock out to get it, but that would still make a mess... any ideas?

For tricky inverts and even fish, I often surprise them when they're asleep and out in the open. Usually several hours after lights out I will go down and see if they're in a vulnerable spot. You can use a red flashlight to see, which inverts cannot see in.

Also setting a tasty snack out in the open will help attract them to where you plan to catch them. Good luck!
