i was gonna remove them and the water to another tank then get rid of sand and then put back the water and coral. the whole reason was i move around abunch of lr yesterday so i could make some dark areas cause i was having a chalice turn brown and i heard people say put it in the shade so i move stuff around and kicked up a bunch of sand and woke up this morning to my allardi clown pair dead nitrates were high.
You can remove sand from tank but would recommend doing it over a period of time. Siphon from the sand bed when doing water changes. I would also make sure to have plenty of SW on hand and ready to do water changes in situations where you get spikes like above. Patience would be key.
to late for takin it slow i moved all the lr and coral and my one fish that made it to another tank did a 15% water change everything is lookin good so far prob gonna do anther 10% water change again maybe tomorow or fri.
