!!! Welcome to R2R !!! Sorry for the whole situation you are going thru but that will give me an good reason to by my own house. Sometimes insurance are a PITA. I have a claim on my home insurance for a leaking water pipe (1959 build home) and they don't want to pay nothing. Now going thru lawyers and let see what's the ending.

Thank you everyone for the advice! Finally ended up going with Mercury Insurance. While we of course couldn’t get it writing in the policy, they were willing to email the property management company to formally let them know it would be covered, which the company and landlord accepted. Thank you everyone for the warm welcomes!! :)
