My new tank plans are:
Display Tank & Stand
108" long x 40" wide x 26" tall
Front Panel - Low Iron glass
Black vinyl background
Ghost (or similar overflow) with removable weir
4 Returns drilled in back, 3/4"
32" tall Aluminum powder coated stand
Frag Tank & Stand
60" long x 30" wide x 18" tall - Peninsula Style
No Star Fire
Black vinyl background
Ghost (or similar overflow) with removable weir
2 returns drrilled in back, 3/4"
30" tall Aluminum powder coated stand
I did get 4 x 100 gallon rubbermaid stock tanks that I plan to plumb together as a system in my family room as holding system. It will allow me to keep certain coral and fish separate and space things out during the transition with one tank being the filtration and such.
We are going to tear the carpet out of that room and put down porcelain tile up to where the current tanks are. Then when I tear down the current tanks we will finish the floor in that area and then install the new tanks.
I have a bunch of willing (and unwitting) volunteers that are forming committees for the various phases of the project. There will be a light rack building/hanging party, a rock structures building party, tank tear down party, tank plumbing party.
Oh, my head is spinning again from the thought of this project ;Vomit
