I used an epoxy appliance paint for mine. Stark white and shiny so you can easily see into the stand. It's also thick so it seals any cracks or screw heads from assembling the stand.

Did you replace the silicone between the glass surfaces or “only” that’s accessible without pulling the panes apart?
