Retirement

Well, I did it. I'm officially retired! Now I can pursue my hobbies as I see fit. Music, Fishing, Aquarist among others. I've been notably absent for a few months but that'll change. I need to get back into this! Happy Days Friends!

Congrats ! Nice achievement. Perhaps if I stop getting divorced and funding others I can focus on my later years :) I’m not bitter though.

Congratulations, and welcome to the club! I have time for my hobbies now, too. But the cash flow has dried up a bit.

Mine did too, in a way. Our 3 pensions activate in 34 months, so we'll be more flush in that time.

Congrats. I’m 54 but I feel I’m going to be working till my last breath with how the world is now.

That's how I felt at that age. I was done. But still too young. I took a chance at 62 as I just don't know how many years I've got. I'm healthy, yes, but ya never, ever know. All I know now is that I'm gonna have the winch I have on my truck looked at in the next month to get ready for fishing in the spring. Never have hauled a boat. Backing it anywhere is going to be interesting my first time out!

I love being retired, but just wish I could slow down and enjoy it.

It'll go quick, trust me. Just start planning now. Don't wait. Start crunching numbers based on your current and future earnings potential. You've got one more 7 year cycle for investments after all.

I retired 20 years ago. It was one of the happiest days of my life. I was so happy that on my way home on my last day, I stopped by a Plastic Surgeons office to have my face made bigger to fit my smile.

I retired last May at 64. My husband retired at 57. He wanted me to hurry up and retire. I loved my job. But this retirement gig is so much better. I did get a very part time job. Doing what we love. Cleaning and maintaining a 300 gallon aquarium for a ver! Enjoy
