I am not new to R2R nor to reef tanks, but I am finally returning to the hobby after a couple years of detour. Loss of a very close family member triggered a meltdown of sorts, then the addition of 2 children pretty much drove me out of the game for a while.
Some of you might remember me, others won't of course. Bit of backdrop, I was the one who started the Grow Out Competitions on PWNMAS and also pushed the Share the Love into the spotlight for them. I still find it kind of funny that when you Google "Grow Out Competition" you find my threads as the top hits yet I am no longer part of that group.
To avoid any disputes....I can admit it was deserved. As stated....meltdown.
I have had several reef tanks and have been on an aggressive binge since. I started off with a 12g with a clip on 150w MH, then moved to a 36g, 72g bowfront, 60g cube, 180g cube, 56g, 80g, 90g, and then back down to 16g Nano. Now, I find myself redesigning the plumbing on my "retired" 56, just purchased new lights, and am just about to spin this bad boy back up.
Too bad I burned bridges....would have loved to get some of those back. At any rate, you will be my build soon.
