The "hookups" are some discounts and trades but it definitely cost me something for everything! LOL! But I do need someone to plum everything! HAHA!

I'm sure you don't want to see one of my ultra famous plumbing pictures here! It crossed my mind but ...... I'll let it slide this time ROFL!!! [emoji38][emoji23][emoji6]

HAHA! I think I know what you're talking about!!

It actually was but where he is painting now isn't going to touch it!

But I meant to cover it up for the duration of all construction. Preventing a scratch is easier than living with one. ;)

Good point! What do you suggest to cover it?

That's why I post those pictures they are just so ridiculous to me I find them hilarious!

Keep up the good work! Looks like you've got some great help! [emoji4][emoji41]

Can't wait to see it with the brick around it. That's gonna be such a killer set up man. Love the LED overhead lights!

Looks really good David! Very clean and sleek :D I do agree with protecting the tank as best you can. Doesn't take much to scratch it. Maybe get some rolled brown paper from Lowe's and tape it to the glass. It'll protect it a little better than drop cloth plastic sheeting as far as scratches go.

It's so good to see this coming together.. It's hard enough getting a house ready never mind setting up a tank also. Especially one this size.. Great job..

Is it too late to sneak a low profile - made from wood - drainage tray under the DT?

What do you mean?

What do you mean?

I know a couple of people who say "it's not if it will leak, it's just when". Got a call from a buddy last year just before Christmas. His 250 gallon tank had finally (after several years) sprung a leak. Of course, this happened right after his wife had cleaned the entire house in preparation for visits from family members. It wouldn't be polite to quote her comments here but I digress. If you were able to add 4 low profile "lips" around the top of the stand, you could then add a drain hole in the stand. If - perish the thought - your tank ever sprung a leak, you wouldn't have to hide out from your wife in the garage or tool shed. Just saying ....

And back to my buddy. His fish hobby didn't survive the leak. After I took the critter and rock (distributed as best I could around our small community) and after several holiday drinks, the tank and plumbing underwent radical surgery with a skill saw. It almost fit in a large garbage container.

Making great progress! Love it!

Few more updates! The brick wall is being installed. No grout yet of course but you get the idea! And no I didn't cover the tank!

Oh and here is the floor being painted. Painted with floor epoxy. Needs another coat.
