I recently purchased a Vortech MP40w. I took out all of the Koralia powerheads and run just the Vortech. I currently have the pump set on short pulse mode. Here are a few pictures from yesterday.

Hey,
Your tank is looking amazing! I was checking it out over on Manhattanreefs. I hope you like the new Vortech! I am getting another one for my 120 in the next week or so. I love them so much!

I like the one for now but I'm sure I'll purchase another to make a true wave.

Biopellets update

The colors of the corals have increased dramatically since the addition of the NP Biopellets but the algae is still there and actually has worsened. The skimmate inside the skimmer has darkened and looks almost black. As you can see from this picture of my frag rack the algae has gone nuts. The rocks look clean but where the tangs and snails cannot get to the algae has taken over (aka. the nutrient levels haven't dropped yet with the addition of the Biopellets).

Good luck Rick. From my understanding, the bp's will not aid with the reduction of PO4, just the NO3; thus the lightening of your corals. On a side note, the tank looks really nice :)

Thanks Mark, I've been following your tank thread for awhile. Eventually I want to upgrade my tank and test out the Radium's with the VHO's.

Any new observations to share about the NP Pellets?

Tank is looking real good!
