Ricordea rejecting food

I've had this ricordea for about 2 months now, and it's always been happy to take a piece of food every other day. I usually feed it mysis. But as of about 5 days ago, it's started pushing away anything that I place on it. A live brine shrimp got caught on it earlier and it pushed that away, too.

The strange thing is that it's mouth is constantly visible now, day and night. I'd only see the mouth come out when I dropped food on it or randomly in the middle of the night.

What's going on with this guy? Please tell me that hes getting ready to bud or something and not die.

My parameters are:

KH	pH	NO2	NO3	Ammonia	Calcium	Phosphate	Temp	Salinity
120	8.3	0	5	0.25	460	0.25	80	1.025

Keep in mind, the ammonia and phosphate are with the API kit which I've been told always shows a false positive for these. 0.25 is the lowest readable amount for each.

He's on a diet cause his frag plug don't fit no more.

Honestly tho, he's probably getting more than enough from his surroundings.

As long as he doesn't shrink, he's probably getting plenty of nutrients out of the organisms and nutrients that exist in the water. If he starts to wither away, maybe try some of the powdered coral foods.

Thanks, you two. That makes me feel better. My nitrates have risen to 15 as of an hour ago. My parameters for the original post were from 7 days ago.

I guess I should lower the overall feeding. Would it be a good idea to stop dosing Fuel and ReefRoids, too?

Try a non=meat form of feeding such as Reef Roids or coral frenzy
