Rio anyone?

LoL

Yeah, I have been watching it pretty much from the beginning....everything from Judo to Swimming. I expected much more controversy over the conditions over there....hasn't been too much talk about it at all once it started.

I've noticed the seating in the stadiums is only half full (if that much) at most of the events.

The Mexican soccer game had all of a couple of dozen people in the stands meant for 20-30,000 people....

I noticed the same thing about attendance
Was bothered by woman interviewing both ladecky and phelps trying to make a big deal over the Russian swimmer #1 thing and the guy competing against Phelps in the ready room. She was clearly trying to make controversy
I also am missing the in-depth profiles of athletes, including non-Americans. Seems like they used to do much more of that
And where is Johnny Weir? It showed he and Tara were going to be doing coverage stuff and I have yet to see him. (Yes, I think he is so fun and a delight to watch)

This is typical of all Olympics. Most events don't have a lot of people live at the venue. The target audience is the tv viewers.

NBC's coverage is pretty poor. Whatever.

I've been watching. Mostly DVRing the equestrian stuff because that's my favorite part. I did notice when they were doing the cycling road race that they would cut away when they were cycling past seedy parts of the area. I feel sorry for the athletes doing the triathlon that have to swim in that water after hearing about how nasty it is. Yikes!

Also, why aren't they televising any of the basketball games...or have I just been missing them?

You've been missing them. Both the men's and women's games have been broadcast. It's not just NBC, it's all its affiliated channels as well, maybe 3-4 others channels throughout the day.

Figures lol.....I do watch the other channels but all I seem to catch on those are the smaller Olympic sports such as table tennis or Judo. I am hoping to catch today's game against Australia.

Just saw on tv, 230 women and 6 men today on nbcsn.

All I know is that I'm glad my leg didn't snap... Ouch that video was painful (looking)...
