Ok heres my prob or just cant figure out. Bought this Ritteri Anemone from LiveAquaria and was awesome. Next day got to close to my maxspect 280 and part of it got sucked in, but got home just in time before major damage. did 50% water change asap. my water par. are cal 440, alk 8.5 mag 1500 phos 0. noticed the next morning the Ritteri shrunk by 50% and looked dead I keeped a camera on it so I could monitor from home. at 12 it would be wide open and lights are at full spectrum at that time. I'm just worried its going to die. here are some pics also wont eat. But I think its stressed from the powerhead getting to it. As u can see on top that's were the powerhead got the Rittrei. Any advice or help would be great.

The move made it stressed a little.
If your ritter start feeling better again it will go on the move for stronger flow.
Ritters love STRONG flow and the closer to your pump the better.
I have a ritter about 5" away from my MP40 QD and it's great looking.
They also love strong light.
And I never feed mine.

Thnks Diesel for the info. Ill keep an eye on it to see if it will move any time. is it normal to shrink so small all the time and grow back to normal size thru out the day. also notice the clowns picking at the mouth when I watch them from work on my camera. when I get home I see no signs of bite marks around the mouth.

If possible I would separate the clowns from it to allow it to heal without the added stress from them. I second diesels statement of strong flow and high light and I never feed mine directly. The clowns will take food over to it and it will snag little pieces from broadcast feedings but other than that it's left alone.

Ritteri (magnifica actually) are notoriously poor shippers, and getting abuse from a powerhead doesn't help. There are plenty of threads around on treating these animals with antibiotics. If you see deflation cycles or mouth distention, survival is poor without treatment. FWIW, I proactively treat all my mags in a hospital tank for 7 days with Cipro.

Mags do like flow, but not laminar flow. It's a mistake to put them too close to a powerhead, for what id think to be obvious reasons.

Bad news my ritteri got into my mp40 and when I got home was no more. All fish hiding and polyps on corals closed. Did 75% water change. All fish ok next morning waiting to c if my Pom Pom and sea fan open up. I really want to get another but to c a beautiful specimen die again would suck. My clowns won't host my lta or my sebea anemone. I'm just devastated

If/when you do get another on I would plan ahead and set up a simple qt and treat it prophylacticly with Cipro to reduce the likelihood of any infections. Which are very common in mags and carpets. I use a 20 tall with an egg crate divider, small heater, a wavepoint led, a powerhead (small since the tank is only half full) and a small clay pot for it to attach to. I use 10 gallons fresh mixed saltwater and dose the cipro after the light has gone off. Then just before the lights go off the next day( set them on a timer to account for your schedule) I do a 100% water change while siphoning out any thing the nems expelled and wipe down of the tank with a paper towel. Refill and repeat for a total of 7 treatments( cipro pills). I've had very good luck with this method on my own nems and stressed new nems I've rescued for local stores.

Where do you buy cipro from?
