Hey all,

Thought I would float a question to the masses to help myself work out a problem I'm having with my RO/DI.

I hastily bought a new Apec-90 under-sink ro/di a few months ago. Sure enough, my landlord wasn't too keen to me tying into the water feed under the sink.

To make amends, I bought the BRS 75GPD Value Plus, as it has a faucet adapter. The only downside is that, while I may be getting good pressure directly from the supply stem, I'm getting 35 psi on the faucet. It's brutally slow.

I know I could pay the $100 for a booster pump, but now that I'm sitting on two ro/di system, I'm wondering if I might just have the parts to upgrade to a 150 gpd myself.

Figuring that the APEC RO-90 uses a Dow Filmtec membrane, which is what I believe I'd get from BRS if I ordered the 150 upgrade kit, I threw the second membrane on the system to process the wastewater.

Still not much of an improvement. Running at 35psi. Had no issues when it was plumbed directly off the water feed. Figured adding the second membrane would make a big difference. Anyone had any issues with pressure at the faucet dropping drastically?

Wondering if it's worth the $100 for a booster pump to stay in the landlords good graces, or just sneak it back under the sink.

man of all the purchases I made in this hobby my booster pump was among the best I ever made. I was on the fence about buying one for a long time, now I can't imagine running my RODI unit without one....well worth the money to me
