RO/DI Gauge

I bought a BRS RO/DI from a fello reefer but it didn't come with the gauge that i see in pictures of it... what is that gauge called and what is it for?

They can have a pressure gauge and/or a tds sensor. Pressure gauge is for keeping up with filters starting to plug up and tds keeps up with the amount of dissolved solids that make it through the membrane of the filter. Both are nice to have and fairly inexpensive to add to a filter system

water pressure. you can add one on. they are useful. you need at least 50 psi in order for you membrane to function well.

I bought a BRS value system years ago. They didn't come with a gauge. If you want one BRS sells them cheap. I put one before my sediment filter and one after my carbon blocks. When I get to a 10 psi drop I change them.

Just as a thought. Since you are just starting out, I would binge watch the BRS videos on RODI. I learned a lot watching them.
