I'm setting this up every two weeks. The 3way fitting makes it quick and easy to tap into the water source. As you see my space is limited.

I totally understand where you are coming from!!!

Unless I am quarantining, I typically set this up once a month and make 70 gallons in my girls bathroom. I try to plan it when they spend the weekend at their mom's.

35 gallons in a brute can for my ATO and the other 35 gallons goes into another brute can for backup and emergencies that is nestled in a corner between my refrigerator and counter space. I usually pile some light junk on top of it otherwise if I have company I end up having trash in my water. LOL

here's my 2week old BRS 6 stage. Added booster pump and AutoAqua shut-off. With municipal water pressure, I didn't need pump, so don't use it. Based on advice from this forum and BRS, I also installed two 3-way valves. One after charcoal (to send charcoal flush to drain) and one before DI (for planted freshwater tank).

I was about to set it up in the basement when my (smart) wife suggested I set it up in the small shower in my office that I never use. Saved a lot of up and down stairs, plus if/when I forget overfilling won't be a big deal. This supplies enough for a 45G and a 23G.

I have a 5 stage RO system no DI but it works for me no issues I test my water against the LFS RO/DI and mine is cleaner and we both run off the same village water supply

Mine is located outside the house near my tank. The cabinet is intentionally designed oversize to allow me to upgrade from a 100L to a 240L bin later if I need to.

The only thing I don’t like about my RODI is that I would have to modify the filter housing to install a third TDS monitor after the RO and before the DI stage - this is an Aquatic Life unit. For now I live with a 2 stage.

Keep it simple, keep it near a sink for water and discharge. I keep my RO by the laundry, and pump it into the next room to a mixing barrel 50 gal.
