Why do you need such a big System? 1000 Gallons would do a 20% Water change on a 5,000:Gallons Aquarium, that would be if you do a water change every day. Once a week, would be a 35,000 Gallon Aquarium.

In that case, have you had the Anode Rod taken out of your Water Heater? Some people have an extreme sensitivity to them.

Thats also a really good point, havent thought of it. If I use a RO system afterwards, the aluminium from the rod should hopefully mostly be eliminated.
