Be aware.. It will take many weeks to leach the alkalinity out of it. You could speed up the process with vinegar or acetic acid.

Recently, I have also been making these structures in preparation for a new tank. They are really nice, just takes a long time to cure. The piece you made looks eally nice!

I was planning on using this for my tank. I did not mind curing it for 1-1.5 months. I have cured Marco rock before and it took 5-6 weeks..

You used vinegar to cut down the curing of the rock?

You can get the curing time down to a week with acetic acid. :)

Maybe I will take a few photos.
