Is there an alternative to RODI water for top off and water change? I'm in California and we are in a drought. RO water uses huge amounts of water. My water bill is huge and I feel terrible wasting this much water. 20 gallons to make 1 gallon is crazy.

Mybe buy saltwater from lfs. Or there ro/di water. Check local water co. Mybe they have a free facet of RO and you run through Di.

Whoa, I think if I was getting a 20:1 ratio id try to tackle that first. I'm getting 2:1

You can set it up with another membrane so it runs the wastewater through again an makes it more efficient. I've not done this, but I've seen that setup. I'm sure seine here can tell you what to buy.

spectrapure has a 1:1 waste water RODI but at 900 bucks. In the archives, there are folks who have used tap water for years.
