RODI auto shut off

I recently bought a 5 stage BRS plus system. I got a float valve installed so I can always leave my water on to my rodi unit. I intalled it and turned my water on and tested the valve. The valve is working fine, however, there is water leaking somewhere around the DI canister on the floor. For some reason I think the auto shut off isnt working if pressure is building up to the DI canister. Anyone have advice or am I doing something wrong?

The entire system, including the Di canister will be under pressure when the float is raised and the ASOV shuts the system off, this is how they work.
Unscrew the DI canister and try a little food safe silicone grease on the O ring. You can find it in the plumbing section at HD and Lowes or any homebrewing or beverage supply store where it may be called keg lube.

I tightened the canister a little more and its not leaking. Just didnt know if the pressure would continue to build up inside the system I didnt want to burst it.

The system will remain at house pressure, whatever that is in your area, normally 50-70 psi in most places.
Be careful with overtightening the canisters, the O-Ring seals are designed for hand tight plus maybe 1/4" turn is all. A good O-Ring lube will assure a drip tight seal without over tightening the components. Its a bear to get them loose, even with a wrench when they are really cranked down and you may end up breaking something in the process.
