I have the aqua fx barracuda rodi. Started out getting 2-3 tds before it hitting the DI risin . It’s been gradually climbing and now stands at 10 tds before the DI . Still getting 0 tds product but for how long ? I can see orange discoloration on the DI risin filter chamber. Does not look black like new so probably need a change soon? How much life left in this filter ?

I just ordered a replacement thru amazon so fresh filters will be here tomorrow

2-10 TDS before DI resin is pretty good. I wouldn't change the DI resin till it starts to show 1 TDS after it or the DI resin turns mostly orange.

Thanks! What concerned me most though was the drop in pressure. I don’t get a lot (60 psi) . It’s at 55 psi now . Recommended is 60+

DI resin shouldn't get clogged. The pre sediment filter and carbon blocks will.

Should I change out all filters at once including the DI risin?

This unit was purchased new end of October 2018.

Depending on a couple factors, will determine filter replacement. Depending on how much water you produce with it and what your incoming TDS is.

With the amount I use a week, which is 10-20 gallons, I pretty much change mine every 6 months. My incoming TDS is low at 5-6.

I started with the unit hooked up to my washing machine cold water outlet. Was holding spreading at 5-6 but have seemed to creep up by 2 tds every 20-25 gallons of good water.

I need to learn how to change it out anyways , guess now is good as time as any.

Ok , just checked again. 10 before DI risin and now 1 tds after DI . I’m not sure if I even want to use this batch. Think I’ll be ok?

I was just about to ask if you have a back flush valve to clean to RO membrane, sounds like you do.

Filters ordered last night and came in today. All installed and just went through a quick flush. I stopped it when it hit 10 tds before DI . All pressure has been restored which eased my mine concern.

Ordered the under the sink kit and try to install it under my sink. I can just route the water to not come into the DI risin and use for drinking water? That could save me money as I get my water delivered.

Do you have city water or well water? My RO membrane has been running for over two years and puts out 0 TDS water. I must have made over 1000 gallons. My tap water is reasonably clean at 160TDS.

I have city water. Tds is 160-170ish

Never gotten 0 just from the membrane . Gets close though . 3-4 before DI when new . Which I’m sure I can get back too when I flush it more when I’m ready to make more water. Got plenty for now
