Quick question, maybe dumb.
If I go to flush my rodi, does water come out of the product line? If so what do I do when I have it hooked to my sump and salt water mixing reservoir directly?

The flush valve should relieve the pressure in the RO cartridge. This allows water to pass over the membrane and not thru it. You might get some, but not, much if any, water comming out the good (production) line but it is filtered so there is not to worry.

I have always gotten water coming out. I teed off my line before the DI so that this water, which can be quite high in TDS, doesn't burn through resin.
