My pink and green birdsnests have both changed color over the past couple months. The pink has gotten more muted but the polyps have gotten more flourescent green. Meanwhile the green birds nest (which was brown when I got it) has turned a bright green while the polyps remain brownish. Don't know what the deal is.:)

I guess that is one thing that makes this hobby interesting you never know what you will see. Like my raja rampage chalice turned purple from green. Honestly I like it better purple.

My tank must be at war with it’s self yesterday a Harry mushroom stung one of my Favia. Now today I’ve got my rocket city red chalice burnt a spot the size of a quarter on my Hollywood stunner and my Kenya tree killing one of my cyphastreas polyps!

I fought that for about a year then I discovered carbon dosing! Thanks you (Randy Holmes-Farley ) you saved my tank! I have dosed vinegar mixed with Kalkwasser ever sense. Got rid of gha and got bubble algae under control with the help of about ten emerald crabs.
Can you tell me more or point me to a thread on this? Would love to learn on this dosing.

Absolutely

Go to the search and search vinegar dosing and their is like 20 pages I read most of them. You will have to start slow and have a good skimmer and have to be ok with having some sino. You also have to monitor your No3 and po4 it can get to low and cause other problems. I would suggest reading a lot about it and get a good understanding of it before starting it worked well for me!

I will have to keep a close eye on my parameters and avoid the tendency to change anything to fast. My other two Acro frags are growing good and have good polyp extension! We will see how it goes?
