Well I got up this morning to go to work and I hear my cross flow pump sucking air bubbles blowing them in my display tank. I checked and my return pump quit last night! Went and reset it it wouldn’t pump had to install my old pump it’s working but only a stream as big as your thumb. Will have to order a new one today. So aggravating!!! Hope the air bubbles and reduced flow didn’t hurt my new Acro frags. Maybe in a little while when the lights turn on I can tell.

Got my old pump hooked up and it is working. It will do until I get my new pump from amazon. Thankful that it didn’t happen while we were gone on a trip or something.

Over the last three or so

weeks I have been slowly raising my KH. A little bit and feeding more to raise No3 and po4. And my raja rampage that had turned purple has turned back green.

I tried putting a 2x2 “ frag plate on the shelf were my clown fish lay their eggs and she would have no part of it ! She fanned with her tail and pushed it off the shelf’s edge. Guess I will have to get something heavier.

It’s been 9 days since I started my culture of hatching food I bought. Today I thought it was all dead so I undone the bubbler and held the 3 leader bottle up to the light and saw a lot of movement. So I strand it through a fine mesh net and put it in my frag tank and their were thousands of small creatures swimming everywhere. Probably mostly brine shrimp but I’m not sure next time I’ll check it under my microscope and see what all there is?

I built a shelf and added a second light for my phytoplankton cultivation containers. I also raised my light on my display tank to 100 percent on blue and 45 percent white from 90 and 40 . I will leave it there for two months if it does well and maybe try 50 percent.

I moved the two rocks with a lot of the mushrooms on it to my frag tank. I like the way it opened up the aquscape will probably get better water flow through the bottom of the tank. However my clowns were not happy about it one of the rocks was a favorite egg laying spot. Maybe now I can put a tile on the other rock and they will lay on it!

Today I was noticing my Oregon tort. And checked a photo from the day I got it 2 1/2 months ago I couldn’t believe it has incrusted as much as it has.

Good news I redone the wiring on the pump that quit in September and it works so now I have a really good backup pump it will just have to be plumbed external!
