Wow Tht an amazing tank before I wasn't a huge fan of cube cuz lack of skill in rockscape lol. But your look awesome

Thanks! It took a while to get the rockscape just right, or at least close enough!

I haven't updated my tank build thread in a very long time. The tank has been neglected for the past 8 years. So back in April of this year I decided to start to bring it back to it's former glory. Now that I have grandkids that like looking at it. The only things left in it were some fish, my giant 10 year old toadstool leather, purple gorgonian and some grande palys. I'll post some pictures of it's neglected state as well as the progress I've made thus far.

Toadstool leather is over 2ft in diameter. I removed it so we would have room for future sps

I've been using Aquaillumination Vega Color lights for over 10 years, so decided to upgrade. I went with 2 Kessil 500x tuna blues and am really liking them.

Fast forward to August, I've decided to build a red oak cabinet around the tank stand. A much needed upgrade to the white painted 2x material stand with no doors. Started with rough cut lumber.

Stained the cabinet Minwax true black then 5 coats water based spar urethane. Water parameters are getting better and are getting more stable since April.

Of course the stand needed some doors. It's hard to get pictures that correctly represent the true color you see.

I think it turned out OK for a tank stand. Been waiting 10 years for this! Still have to adjust the doors a little to make them perfect. Algae is gone , phosphates and nitrates are finally under control.
