im new to the hobby and just bought my first bubble tip anemone I’ve placed it in a few spots and just didn’t seem to happy kept moving towards my other corals but I added it to the rock on very top of tank with wave maker making bursts of flow on it. Seems to like it there has stayed there lot longer then other spots. Do bubbles like a lot of flow?

+1 for power head covers. $3 is a must to protect that critter when he roams.
Agree. I woke up this morning to my Carpet anenome wrapped around one of my power heads.
I did put it somewhere where I thought it was perfect for it. Think again lol

The tank is around two months and I know the lighting is low for the tank but the corals seem to be doing great. The light is from my biocube I moved over the tank is a 36g bowfront.
Please don’t hassle me about my tang is such a small tank the tang seems to enjoy the tank caves and etc grazes on the rocks all day and swims through the caves
The bubble has stuck to this spot and has came out a lot more since yesterday and can tell that it’s extending a lot more every hour

Well your tank is still pretty fresh/new, usually that can be an issue for anemone's as params are usually not stable enough just yet, and your lighting may be on the low side.

You already know that yellow really is not a good idea in that tank obviously

The only reason I grabbed this nem up is because i have been doing some looking. And really wanted one was going to wait but my local fish store got the rose reds in which someone traded in if I didn’t get one while they had them I wouldn’t ever find one anytime soon. Where I live there isn’t many local pet stores
Petsmart in which mine doesn’t have anything salt
Petco where I grabbed up this lg tang really cheap
And a local business that does trades and etc where I got the nem and all my other corals
I plan on grabbing some frozen shrimp from Walmart tomorrow and start feeding it little hunks like I’ve said the nem seems to be doing well expanding out a little each time I check

Just try to keep your params as stable as you can, nems need that. Params = Salinity,DKH, Calcium, Magnesium and steady temp.

Honestly I would avoid silver sides and I wouldn't feed it at all for now. Let the anemone acclimate to your tank.
@davocean

Could not agree more, silversides have been the death of a number of nems for many nem keepers, including myself.

I lost 3 healthy LTA's after a feeding of them once, all 3 detached, shriveled, and melted away, so no coincidence or mistaking what happened in my case, and many others have stated same.

Really new to tank I would not spot feed nem anything at least a couple weeks, and when you do feed, smaller foods like mysis are really best, and only a couple times a week.

It takes energy to digest food, too big or too much can stress them.

Really light is their main source, w/ good lighting you could never spot feed and they'd be fine.
