Ok i have a full grown pair of Tomatos that have been in the same tank together for over 6 months with 2 small predator wrasses. They have always done fine, never fought. Well about 2 weeks ago i moved them into my clown system and they hid all the time after being moved, then tonight i walk in and the male is up in the corner about half dead with his fins shredded and white spots on his sides from his scales being bitten off, the female for some reason decided to kill him. Its weird. I got him out and moved him into another tank in the system alone and was checking out the female and she was darting around and acting strange. They are both still hiding in the tanks they are in, i have 2 little caves in each of the tanks. what the heck?????????

haha thanks. it was out of nowhere. they were in a bigger tank together for like 9 months, then in that smaller tank for 2 weeks then just one day i walk in to check on everyone and the male is at the top of the water with no fins or scales and obviously dying so i moved him into another tank in the same system but he couldnt hang on. they were a nice BIG beautiful pair too. im losing all my PAIRS, this sucks....

I think that is just the nature of clowns, any changes and you you never know how they can react. I've also heard the opposite where two clowns that couldn't get along started breeding when they were moved to a different tank.

Tomatoes and Maroons are about the worst, I had a pair of tomatoes for quite a few years, my female was 5" inches, male was 3.5" inches, they never fought, but when first put together, all hell broke lose. It was terrible, I honestly thought that the male was going to die, but after a week, all was good.

Also, you said into your clown system? What do you mean by this?
