I feel like, of course don’t want him to go off to college and get sick with COVID, but he was so excited to go, like giddy, and I kept thinking please please let him get to go have this experience. the end of his senior year...Covid. His sr year robotics season cancelled after 5 years in the program...Covid. No prom. No band trip to Disney. No senior pranks. I was pregnant with him on 9-11. He got h1n1. last fall EEE cancelled most outdoor evening events. Like, I know life is like this, and in the end maybe he will be more flexible and patient and tolerant because of it. I just feel bad for him. Disappointed for him.
inspections so far are about 50/50 this week. I primarily inspect restaurants but right now am busy with child care centers and institutions. Sometimes it’s really...weird. I go in to a hoitie toitie fancy pants expensive child care center, and facility wise the carpet is torn, the paint is chipping, babies are crawling over a splintering wood transition strip...what the heck and When you ask, what’s going on with this carpet, the answer is oh, we can fix that with some duct tape!?! Then the next day I go into a very old church basement daycare, and it’s an old building, so things aren’t pretty, but it’s safe and well maintained and actually nice. And then I feel better about my job. Lol thanks for listening, therapy session complete.
