These pictures were emailed to me by a co-worker. This guy took a ride on a ROV while setting the subsea tree from the West Sirius rig. This is from 8500 feet below the surface. It’s over 2 1/2 feet long.......Compliments of BP.

Here in south Louisiana the first thing that comes to mind is "Will it taste good cooked in some crab boil?"

I also Immediately wondered how it would steam up!!!!

Bet the ugly monstrosity would be yummy with a little butter and lemon juice....

looks like some of those scary roaches we saw on spring break in a cheap motel one year

From the wiki:
In northern Taiwan and other areas, they are not uncommon at seaside restaurants, served boiled and bisected with a clean lateral slice. The white meat, similar to crab or lobster in texture, is then easily removed.
Lol.
Isopod, eh? So if I have a few of these I can keep a mandarin, right?

gives a whole new meaning to I want to see the light. I'm coming home phyllis I thinks thats her name on sanford & son.

That's nuts! The company I work for manufactures tank gauging systems for Oil Rigs and I've seen pics of some crazy stuff like this before, but not this big... that'd make for one heckuva predator tank!
