Hi everyone, I just bought a fire shrimp from the LFS and introduced it to my tank after acclimatization. At first, I thought the dottyback was attacking the shrimp but now something strange is happening.
The shrimp seems to have found his cave and the dottyback is spending a lot of his time in there with him. The fish is very close to the shrimp and sometimes arches his body as though in ecstasy, sometimes shaking his tale rapidly. Is he in love or just sizing the shrimp up for an evening meal? Great to watch but I'd love to know what's going on. All this in less than two hours. Any thoughts?
