Hey everyone.
I have a male royal pencil wrase and he’s one of my fave fish.
They’re pretty friendly and docile so I was wondering if having 2 males in a 6ft tank is do-able.
Anyone have experience with this?

One of my faves too :)
They're finicky and shy to acclimate, idt 2 males would be good.
My Lineatus was beefing with the Pencil, had to put the Lineatus in the Shu (acclimation box) for a long bit

I only have a P. splendens, but I'm on the look out to add a severnsi. I would not add two of the same soecies. There are other pencils that also look great. Splendens, kakeidos, edwardi. I'd go for one of them.

I have a Splendid Pair. Male and Female. They are very interesting and always hang around each other. My pair is in a 320 gal tank. They are no more than a few inches away from each other 75+ of the time. So close together that I find it is hard to believe (from what I read) that they have a harem breeding unit.
