LoL I Planned on posting an update because the ugly just got a tad uglier ha I am doing a Fluconazole treatment right now had some Hair algae breakout. Once the treatment is done I will post the results.. Thanks for the kind words!!!Very nice equipment choices there Roy. Looking good. Don't feel bad if the uglies stick around for a few more months. The biome is just doing its thing, battling through puberty. You are pushing the envelope a bit with SPS at this early stage, but good luck and keep us posted. In fact, it is about time for an update :)
Every single one of the Sps Frags RTN out last week I had a little alk swing and they just did not like it. I plan on posting a update this week and a Full tank shot will be taken. How are the coral frags doing Roy, have you got any up to date pictures?
Also full tank shot would be lovely ?
Just check your phosphate levels if you have GHA as it very often uses it as a food source, but you might get a false zero reading. You may need to look into phosphate export methods if you have nothing in place like rowaphos, GFO etcLoL I Planned on posting an update because the ugly just got a tad uglier ha I am doing a Fluconazole treatment right now had some Hair algae breakout. Don't take it hard; you were facing some very long odds. I am aware of a small handful of folks who have pulled it off and it blows my mind when they really document their timeline. "Normally" it takes 9-18 months to have a biome ready for most SPS. There are a few very interesting threads where "maturity" and "diversity are discussed/debated/argued. Even with months of perfect parameters, we still end up with dead sticks.Every single one of the Sps Frags RTN out last week I had a little alk swing and they just did not like it. Give it a month and pop another green slimer in there.
I bought a reactor yesterday and have it plumed up and ready to go I was thinking about trying a GFO and Carbon mix in the same camber. Is that an effective way to battle high Phosphate?Just check your phosphate levels if you have GHA as it very often uses it as a food source, but you might get a false zero reading. I like this! This is one area where I have yet to sit down and plan out nicely. I just run a line from an outdoor faucet indoors to a Brute trash can! I need to get on the ball.
Best thing I have ever done. Makes Water changes a breezeI like this! This is one area where I have yet to sit down and plan out nicely. I just run a line from an outdoor faucet indoors to a Brute trash can! I need to get on the ball.
