Hello,

i would like to run separate pumps (1) for each return on my 180 gallon reef. I am looking for redundancy. I would like to have (1) pump dedicated to the UV and (1) pump as the dedicated main pump. My question is I would obviously have to dial down the UV pump and dial up the main pump. But what happens if the main pump fails and the UV pump is dialed too low to keep up with the drain? Is there any programming that dials up the UV pump automatically if the main pump failed? any help with this would be greatly appreciated.

warmest regards

Go with DC pumps to regulate your flow. Part 2 answer. Have an extra pump on hand incase of failure
