Rust on fixture

So the hybrid fixture I was wanting to use on my new build has some rust on the hinge
Should I worry about it and take some action like try and remove it or just cover it with some vasoline

I wouldn't hesitate to use that fixture. It's not like the rust is in the water... Vaseline or molykote 111(preferred) is a good idea.

I wouldn't hesitate to use that fixture. It's not like the rust is in the water... Vaseline or molykote 111(preferred) is a good idea.
Gonna use some Plumber silicone grease maybe to protect it
its not like your going to drop that fixture in the tank like reefering states.
And if it does, you have bigger problems.
Air born rust can do some crazy things plus I want to protect this thing as its one of a very few made
