i’m looking to get into reefing and don’t have that much space because i have 30+ reptiles if any of you guys could give me an advice on a equipment i’d need for a 20g long or a 40g breeder tank i’d prefer no sump and just mostly job stuff would appreciate the advice!!

Some of this will depend on what you plan to keep in the tank (what type of corals, etc.). I would encourage you to focus on water quality, flow, lighting, and filtration. Good luck!

For lighting Im starting to really like the GHL Mitras bar; pretty configurable for spectral adjustments…
Or 3 ea AI’s would serve you well for about $600…
Hopefully someone else will chime in and you will get better input/options like Nicrew, Noopsyche, et ….they all work well IMO


You might also want to pick a “equipment universe” and stick to it…
I am currently using Neptune Apex stuff with the caveat they have some winners and sure fire losers amongst their gear… so you might consider other brands like Red Sea or Hydros …. All depends on how much tolerance you have for packing your phone with “Apps” (argh)

If going sump-less there are AIO boxes, HOB skimmers
I personally like Sicce for return pumps…

I could do a TL;DR post but defer …. Good luck

what does TL;DR mean sorry just a little confused but i appreciate the response it helps a lot so would you recommend something like the 20g im nuvo and what would you personally use for filtration or add to the tank sorry there’s just so many options it gets hard know whats worth it and not also confused because i always see people with the aio tanks but they have a million different things added so i dont really know what i NEED or what is just being put out there for sponsorships. sorry im driving right now but will re read later and edit.
