Safe to say this is a flatworm????

So I've never seen these in my tank before. However, I'm redoing my live rock and have just removed all my live rock and substrate at the moment, so I'm sure where ever it was living, his home has been disturbed. I've never seen any on my corals, and on inspecting still don't see any ??? Anyone have suggestions.

Since I've already gone through all the work of removing my rock and sand, I want to make sure the tank is algae and pest free.

I didn't keep it. What exactly is a chiton? From googling it, all the pics of them look HUGE!

No Chiton are not bad for your tank. I think they eat algae and phytoplankton.
The problem with any of these things is that they can breed pretty quickly and become a nuisance.
If your only seeing a few I would get rid of them now before that get out of hand.

Sorry i dont agree to removing them. They are a beneficial part of the ecosystem and ive never seen them become prolific...
