Is there any science to assist in determining whether a RO/DI unit would safeguard our tanks from emerging contaminants PFOS and PFOA? I live on military base and the base's public works department has stated that they have detected these contaminants at certain sites.

Thanks in advance @Randy Holmes-Farley !

If thats a molecule id think its too big to get through a membrane. But Randy would know better.

Right. They are large and won't get through an RO. They will also be caught on a DI since they are charged. GAC will also bind them since they have very hydrophobic portions.

So I don't think there's cause for concern. :)
