Sailfin Tang has black sploches after 1 year?

This morning my sailfin has black splotches that I have seen before. This is only on one side of her. Can you help identify,? I have not added any fish for weeks and had the Sailfin for about a year.

Do you have nems in there? Could it have been stung? Sorry I can't help more, I've never seen that before. A bump for you in any case.

I do have nems but they been in their for 3 years. Yeah i looked and did not find anything too. Feeding seaweed now see if it goes away. Thanks.

That sure looks like it tangled with an anemone, the fact the lesions are only on one side, and they are localized in one section of the fish indicates trauma of some sort. Perhaps the tang got startled and ran into an anemone? What species of anemone do you keep?

I only keep bubble tips and gave 2 clowns that host in them. Yeah this one is strange for sure. Hopefully that is all it is. I will follow up if they go away. Thanks.

Looks like stings to me! Brushed up against something it shouldn’t have.
