Need some help or ideas on helping with salt creep in my sump area. It is splattering by the wall in the back, all over the cords, down the side of the reef mat, the pipes, etc. So, what can I do to help prevent some of this? Can I also slightly cover the sump area, or would it get too hot from humidity?

Can you post a pic, it sounds like a lot of salt creep? Salt creep is from splashing water, why is there splashing water in the sump? Did you find the splash source that is causing the creep? A little salt creep is one thing, but should not be what you describe.

Perhaps some strategically placed sponge blocks may be part of the solution (to curb the splashing). As suggested, a photo would be helpful.
