Salt mix parameters

Hi, I've been using the Seachem Aquavitro salt for a while now and had been really pleased with it until this last batch that I bought. This latest tub is leaving a white film at the bottom of the mixing tank and all over the glass.

What salts to people use and what parameters are you actually achieving in the mixed salt please? I've used D&D salt and both the Red Sea basic and coral pro salts in the past but I wasn't as happy with the parameters I was getting and I was also finding a brown scum on the water with these.

I use RO/DI purified water to mix it with so I know the issue shouldn't be with the water.

I would get ahold of Seachem and let them know that you have an issue. As you stated you have been happy with the product. I would go on line or to a different store and purchase another bucket. Before you purchase find the batch number on the bucket you have and make sure you do not purchase that batch. Have you tested you alk and ph, I know when I add to much kalwasser it get the same results, white power film. the batch might have not mixed right.
