Hello again everyone

Red Sea reached out to me to offer me a container of Coral Pro Salt to use. I currently have been using Instant Ocean Reef Crystals and have never thought about switching before.

I am not really a “salt” expert and was wondering if someone can chime in

My question;
Are they the same? They both seem to have the same supplements, or maybe I’m missing something. Will this cause any issues with my tank currently running Reef Crystals to just up and a make a switch to Red Sea.

Thank you

alkalinity will be higher. I would transition over 3-4 changes at least and be prepared to adjust dosing. I use Red Sea Pro and keep my alk around 10.

I would compare the alk, ca, and mg of the two salt mixes. I'd be a little cautious about switching myself. Is the company trying to get you to switch salt to promote their product on your content?
