Just built this based off some videos I saw on YT. Outside of still looking for a hose real to install after the Sediment filter does anyone see anything wrong with this build? RODI left SW right.

Looks really good, you’ll thank your self later for putting in all of the unions. Great job!

Looks great im only worried about access to open the filter on the right tank and also having to apply force to open it while its only supported by plumbing.

So the sediment filter is on your output to your tank? I never thought of that. That's a great idea. Did you do anything inside of your saltwater tank for mixing? I'm trying to figure out a way to keep my saltwater tank from getting the brown residue.

Sediment filter is a new one to me, but I like it. I only question (because I don’t know) is will that cause any issues running saltwater through a sediment filter? Will it strip out any of the beneficial stuff thats in the salt mix? Or are you not intending that to be your output from your saltwater tank to your display/sump?

I would think going through the sediment filter from the RODI water tank to the saltwater mixing tank would be a nice touch, And if I ever redid my mixing station, I might steal that idea. Im just unsure any benefit or harm of running the saltwater through it.

My understanding, the purpose of the sediment filter was to remove any of the last particulate stuff that you don’t want in your display. Obviously, this was not my own design. I followed what other reefers had done.

Again, my understanding is the sediment filter will only pull out the bad stuff from the salt mix that didn’t dissolve.

I don't see the need for the filter . My question is since I don't know where your tank is why not put a pump in the system to move it to your I presume Sump? The work you did is incredible thumbs up

Oh yeah it’s just right next to the sump and display I honestly liked the idea of having one more block to keep grime from my tank never thought it would remove the trace elements? I stole the idea from several reefers on YouTube that had this style setups

I needed the long hose due to having another tank in a different room giving me the ability to just pump water directly to that tank during water changes and getting rid of having to haul buckets. It does have a pump. I’m gonna get a retractable hose real also for it to make it even easier.

It’s now fully plumbed and held in by pipe holders. See my most recent comment. I think your right may have to move it.

I plumbed the pipe to the bottom and the pump recirculates the water all the way at the bottom.

The plumbing is now mounted to the wall and doesn’t seem to torque it too much. I’ll keep an eye on it thanks. May have to move the filter over to the wall and mount it there. Thank god for unions!
