I’ve tried everything to get these to open up again - but nothing.

Alk 9.5
Calcium 465
Phosphates .03
Nitrates 10.0

I’ve dipped them, put them in lower light, medium light, higher flow, low flow, and still nothing. The zoas that are next to it are completely open though.

Second picture is another salted agave in my tank that is completely fine.

Any tips?

It probably does not like that spot because of flow or light or both. Try moving it around.

PO4 is probably too low. Softies like the water a bit elevated in nutrients which is difficult when you have a mixed reef (I run mine 0.15 to 0.2).

I have this same problem with other zoas in this family — White Zombies to be specific. I can have Zombies that were fragged from the same colony sitting right next to one another and one will be great and the other will look like its dying. I've never figured it out. I'll go months with them like that. Meanwhile, every other zoa in my tank looks great, along with some of the other Zombies 🤷‍♂️

Crazy stuff.

I was also wondering if it could maybe be the blue zoas next to them causing the issue.

Even crazier is that these started from just two polyps and is now 10 but won’t open lol.

Are the zoas starting to melt? Looks like something is starting to form around the zoa.
