SCIENTIFIC NAME – Labroides pectoralis

COMMON NAME – Blackspot, Yellow, Breastspot, False Blue Streak Cleaner Wrasse

SIZE – 4 in (10 cm)

MIN. AQUARIUM SIZE - 100 gal (378 L)

FOODS AND FEEDING – This fish only eats parasites and dead skin off of other fish. There are no reports of this fish being trained to eat frozen foods.

REEF COMPATIBILITY - Yes

CAPTIVE CARE – This is an extremely difficult fish to keep. They only eat parasites and dead skin off of other fish. They tend to starve to death in our aquariums in a matter of days or weeks. Wrasses are known jumpers so the aquarium top should be covered.

When I saw the title, I thought the fish was going to be Aspidontus taeniatus which mimics the Blue Streak Cleaner Wrasse (Labroides dimidiatus)

I was also thinking something different, but rather Aspidontus taeniatus.

The one who like to eat chunks of the fish, not just pick off the scales.
