Hi,

I am trying to find a decent saltwater mixing station pump. In Bangkok, there are centrifugal pumps easily available. Will those do? And can they be used for saltwater? Should I get a multistage centrifugal pump?

I saw a jebao pump which is definitely made for saltwater. However it says 3.5m max distance. I presume it's vertical distance? Because my tank is 10-15m away from my saltwater mixing station. Will the jebao marine DC pump DCQ-6000 work as a mixing pump?

Its always measured in vertical. will go horizontal forever. I use the Jebao DCP10000 on my mixing station. I use it to mix and pump through a 60ft hose
Ok great. I'll get a jebao then. Is 10000 too much? My saltwater and rodi water tanks are only 100L each. Is the jebao 6000 sufficient?

For a mixing station you can never have too much. Honestly i keep it maxed out and it mixes clean and quick. The alternative one you posted is probably 20x stronger than the 10000, the 10000 is 80w thats 450w. Might be hard to control flow haha.

i think it takes me about 2 mins to fill up my 10g ato.

Also that motor you posted says 100% copper motor. I dont know if thats the brush/coil assembly or the actual peices that come in contact with the water. Copper corrodes in salt pretty bad and i dont want copper in my reef tank. The jebao is proven and known safe

Can you explain the flow here? trying to upgrade my RODI res/salt mixing station and struggling with a good layout that is efficient and makes sense.

Is the RODI storage on the left?

Where does the fresh/salt water come out to be used?

thx
