I’m new to saltwater. I currently have a 36 gallon tank with 2 Ocellaris Clownfish. My end goal is to eventually get an anemone in probably around a year!
I wanted to see if this set up would overstock my tank and if so what would you recommend?
I’m looking for hardy fish that can be a little forgiving. I’m also hoping to have corals so fish that are good with corals would be amazing! Currently I have a leather green polyp frag in the tank with my two clownfish!

Fish goals:
Two Ocellaris Clownfish
1 Royal Gramma
1 Firefish Goby
1 Yellow Watchman Goby
1 Banggai Cardinalfish
3 Blue-Green Chromis
1Anemone (like a Bubble Tip Anemone)

Clean-Up Crew:
5 Nassarius Snails
5 Cerith Snails
5 Trochus Snails
3-5 Blue legged Hermit Crabs
1 Cleaner Shrimp
1 pistol shrimp for goby!

Bit much. With 2 clowns, you're very likely to have some aggression over time due breeding/territoriality (even if don't actually lay eggs). The really peaceful fish (Gramma and Firefish) might not do well with them in small tank with less places to hide, or they'll hide all the time. The YWG will be fine as will the Cardinalfish. I would only do one Chromis. Seems like anytime anyone gets more than one, they end up with one. Without a predator they can turn on each other, plus more than one would be pushing stock levels. My oldest fish (5 years) is a BG Chromis. Anemone will be fine and dandy as well.

Good luck!

I would take the chromis off, they get bigger than you think and some have them fight and pick each other off in the tank. Aside from that I think it looks fine. Firefish might be hard to add with the clowns, it depends on how big they are and their behaviors. Firefish are very shy but so pretty. Would use an acclimation box with it so they can see each other

I would try to keep it at 5 or 6 fish. Drop the chromis and the list looks good.
