Sam's Oceanic 120 - DIY solutions

It's like when you put oil and a pail and boil it...
Hey, slick, best to leave pithy comments to those better equipped to give them.

Just refilled my Kalkwasser reactor because I've seen my alk steadily drop.
Steps to refill a ParlAStir:
1) Disconnect doser tube and bend over into a bucket.
2) Drain about a pint of the solution into a container.
3) Add about a cup of Pickling Lime to the container and stir.
4) pour solution into the bottom of the stirrer via funnel attached to a tube.
5) Top off stirrer with RODI

So, your wife is understanding with you being 2" shy. That is awesome. I wish my wife thought that way.

If I wasn't already packing such a huge water jug there may have been an issue.

Now that I have the room in my sump for the reactor trio I put a cutting-board top of it for a table and am using my old CO2 scrubber hoses - perfect length!

What do you put in 3 reactors? I just have carbon. And gfo is a no go for my phos limited butt.

I have K2 in the 3rd. I may end up using my old Co2 scrubber as my carbon reactor and skip GFO since I think my Phosphate is in good order now. add this 3 stage to my current RODI setup - more pre-filtering since my RODI filters go fast.
