I second this!! I have been dying to snorkel in Florida and would love to possibly collect some fish or inverts on my honeymoon- I have been desperately trying to find people who would come out and do a snorkeling trip to possibly catch fish or inverts for my parents and my aquariums
I'd just stick to the wife on the Honeymoon! I know my wolf... I mean wife wouldn't be stoked if I were bringing sloppy bags back from our honeymoon!

Unless she is going to help collect with you then and only then I would vote maybe.

I would have voted do it whether you were the wife or not.

Do something for you, do something for them - learn to enjoy each others company over whatever the particular event is.

In this case, if you both enjoy the event as well - it's an added bonus!

omg any good places to collect near marco island?
Not familiar with that area, but I would suggest anywhere there are rocks, grass beds or pilings. Think brides, jetty, etc.

Always some form of macro or inverts around them. May even be able to get some bennies or other things. Not sure, but I would assume there will be NPS nems on the bottoms of rocks in shallow water. They run all around the coasts of FL.

Ok here is the list my fiancé and I came up with
Although there is a decent chunk of fish, I have 180 gallons about of total water volume then lots of rock work for hiding in each tank.

That still depends on variables. Throw out the list
So I know it seems like a lot- but all the fish are relatively small, and the big fish and either tank would be the 1 tang and most other fish stay super small

My daughter lives in Tampa, I've collected off the sunshine skyway pier area. Westbound side near the oyster lagoon. At low tide you can find a fascinating variety of inverts there. Pistol shrimp like to live in the larger pored yellow sponges.

I'm in Clearwater, @Eagle_Steve has given me so many places to go. I have yet to do it, I'm so dead by my days off I can't get myself out there.

Personally, I think it's doable. Just be aware of your bioload and plan accordingly. I feed *heavy* so I run ats, skimmer, and roller mat. I downsized my tank temporarily while moving so a 60 cube currently has: large dusky wrasse, good sized foxface, good sized marine betta, 3 clowns, 1 royal gramma, 2 yellowtail blue damsels, 1 bicolor blenny, 1 lantern basslet and we're chugging along just fine. All the cleanup supplies help.
