Lost Lands West received a lighting upgrade.

Special thanks to the assist to @Scratch08 for finding me everything to order, with links, multiple times and bought me the bulbs I couldn't find because I didn't answer in time if I was still looking for them!

Geisman 48" fixtures, extended endplates with the original Reef LED 90's up top. I'm going to pull the Reef LED 50's from the nem tank sand fill in these ones. Move the Kessil 360's upstairs to the nems.

PAR mapped it today and I'm too hot. Going to have to raise the fixture a good 3". Also don't love the look to my eye. Coral Plus bulb on the rear bank will likely be switched out for a B+ or Actenic.

Glad to see things are coming along- still dealing with mad Dino’s on my end and have had my tanks blacked out for the past 4 days, probably going to be adding a bunch of pods in the next couple days and try to up my low fish count because my tanks are too clean

Have you gotten a positive ID on the exact type of dino you are dealing with?

Nobody around me has a microscope where I can tell what it is- but after three days so far of the blackout the algae has largely disappeared
You can buy a jewelers loupe or USB microscope that hooks to your phone cheap from Amazon.

So many have chased dinos, stressed coral with blackouts just for it to return because they were treating the wrong sort of dino with the wrong approach.

Are you running UV?

I haven’t been able to afford a UV set up, currently there is no coral in both tanks, pulled it all before the blackout
What is no3 and po4. If they are bottomed out or almost that might be the problem. Guessing your not close to NJ or you can borrow mine

Both are from Hannah checkers, yeah my LFS advised to add more fish since my fish load is very low for how much rock I have, and to start feeding slightly heavier
Dose. It's easier to control and get out of the danger zone quicker.

I agree with the crew. I'd be dosing my levels up from there. Feeding more is a helpful, long-term solution.
